Alternative Tentacles recording artists, The Sermon, are back in action. After months of blistering rehearsals, founding members Matt Gabriel (guitar) and Mike Gabriel (vox and theremin), are joined by new members Greg Daniels (bass) and Dave Leonard (drums). Sacrificing none of the high-energy, over-amplified rock and roll dynamics of prior incarnations, the band has been hard at work generating more than a half-dozen new tunes that fuse late ‘60s garage-punk with hard-hitting rhythm and blues. The Sermon will perform in San Francisco at Bender's Bar and Grill on July 23 with The Emmanuelles, then travel to the Pacific Northwest for three additional live appearances. Check the 'Shows' page for details.
